What is Wood Type?
Woodtype posters are a graphic design poster-making style that uses woodblock typefaces or letterpress printing techniques. They have a unique look that is characterized by bold, chunky letterforms with visible wood grain textures. This technique was commonly used in the late 19th and early 20th centuries before modern printing technologies became available. Woodtype posters often have a vintage or retro feel to them.
