Anatomy of Type Poster Assignment (40pts)

1. Using Adobe Illustrator, create a poster showcasing your understanding of typography's different components. Your poster should be visually engaging and effectively communicate the concepts learned in this module:

   • Cap height, X-height, Baseline, Ascender & Descender line

   • Stem, Ascender, Spine, Bowl, Crossbar, Aperture, Terminal, Shoulder, & Descender

   • Counter, Leg, Arm, & Eye

   • Kearning, Leading, & Tracking

   • Use color

   • Consider the Gestalt Principles

2. Final document size:

   • 11 inches wide by 17 inches tall

   • Color Mode: CMYK (for print)

   • Bleed: 0.25 inches (to ensure proper printing)

   • Resolution: Set your document resolution to at least 300 dpi for high-quality printing.

3. Begin by researching ideas and sketching concepts for your poster. ​

4. Experiment with different ideas to find the most effective solution. Be creative!

5. Save your file as LASTNAME_Anatomy of Type_M4.ai

6. Upload your file to the Module 4 folder in Google Drive.
