Create Artwork for Screen Print

  1. Complete Chapter 13 in your textbook.

  2. Complete draft 1 of your two-color personal t-shirt design.

Chapter 13 (10pts)

  1. Open the Chapter 13 lesson file.

  2. Read Chapter 13 in the textbook and follow along with the lesson. 

  3. Save your finished file. Name your document LASTNAME_M6_Chapter13.ai

  4. Upload your file to Google Drive in the Module 6 folder.

Draft 1 Two-Color Personal T-shirt Design (10pts)

  1. Using Adobe Illustrator, create a t-shirt design representing your interests, hobbies, etc. Your t-shirt design should be visually engaging. 

  2. Utilize the design process.

  3. Consider the Gestalt Principles.

  4. Final document size:

    1. 15 inches wide by 17 inches tall.

    2. Your design should be no larger than 12 inches wide.​

  5. Color Mode: CMYK (for print).

    1. Two-color maximum for the entire design.​

    2. Loose or tight registration.

  6. Bleed: 0.00 inches (to ensure proper printing)

  7. Resolution: Set your document resolution to at least 300 dpi for high-quality printing.

  8. Begin by researching ideas and sketching concepts for your t-shirt. ​

  9. Experiment with different ideas to find the most effective solution. Be creative!

    1. You will turn three ideas. ​

  10. Remember to outline all fonts to prevent missing font errors. ​

  11. Save your file as LASTNAME_tshirt_draft1_M6.ai

  12. Upload your file to the Module 6 folder in Google Drive.

  1. Remember to save your files with the appropriate name.
