Module 5 - Step 3

Project Brief:

• A client has contacted you about a t-shirt design for a charity project. This client is a mother who tragically lost her daughter in a drunk-driving accident. In honor of her daughter's memory, she volunteers for the Mother Against Drunk Driving charity and wants t-shirts made that represent her daughter. She envisions a t-shirt design of a tattoo her daughter had. She has given you a picture of the tattoo for you to recreate. 

Final document size:

• 15 inches wide by 17 inches tall

• Color Mode: CMYK (for print)

  • Three color maximum for this project​

• Bleed: No Bleed

• Resolution: Set your document resolution to at least 300 dpi for high-quality printing.

Copy the image below and paste it into your Adobe Illustrator file. 

Open the layers panel and create a new layer. Use the pen tool to trace the design on the new layer, being as accurate as possible. 

Once you are done drawing, add text and color.

Outline all text.

Scale your completed artwork proportionately so it is no larger than 12" wide. 

Save your file as LASTNAME_MADDProject.ai

Upload your file to the Module 5 folder in Google Drive.
