Instructional Designer

About Me

How'd I get here: From fraud investigator to instructional designer—what happened? My career shift began after moving from Kansas City, Missouri, to Emporia, Kansas. This move inspired a period of deep reflection and self-discovery. I engaged in many conversations with friends and family that helped me explore my creative passions and my love for helping others. Ultimately, this journey led me to graphic design and then to instructional design, a field where I can merge my creativity and passion for learning to create meaningful and engaging learning experiences for both learners and organizations.

My drive: I thrive on the process of transforming information into visually compelling and engaging learning solutions. My background in both graphic design and instructional design has shaped my problem-solving mindset, allowing me to craft learning experiences that are not only effective but also enjoyable.

My career goal: I aim to create compelling and engaging learning experiences that empower learners and organizations. I aspire to find a position that allows me to merge my passion for creativity and education to create aesthetically pleasing eLearning experiences, whether in the education or corporate sector. I enjoy exploring new instructional technologies to implement a user-centered learning strategy that aligns with the training goals and solutions. Ultimately, I want to contribute to an organization that values creativity, innovation, and the impact of well-designed learning experiences.

The fun stuff: When I'm not working on eLearning, I'm usually buried in a book, listening to various music genres, or tending to my houseplants. I also love traveling with my fiancé, spending time outdoors, and getting some exercise every day.
